Earthquakes

Example of student work

  1.  Earthquakes are a natural disaster. It is caused by a sudden slip between two tectonic plates. The surface where they slip is called the fault plane. When the plates move far enough from each other, it does not stick on the fault anymore, which then causes an earthquake to happen.
  2. Earthquakes have many negative impacts on society. The biggest loss that an earthquake can create is theloss of human life. Along with that comes damage to buildings, bridges, roads, and homes. When an earthquake happens it can cause fires and floods , which only furthers destruction.
